If a Generator is installed in business establishment, what PTO is required?

There are two (2) PTO’s required for Generators, namely:

 

 

Do I need the above PTO’s for my standby generator at home?

No. Generator for residential use does not need to apply for PTO. Unless, your homeowners association would require or if there are local ordinances in your area that would require you to obtain.

What are the requirements in applying for PTO?

For APSI PTO:
1. Application Form from the EMB (www.emb.gov.ph).
2. Pollution Control Officer (PCO) of the establishment using the generator.
3. Certificate of Accreditation of PCO issued by the EMB Regional Office.
3. Installation drawings.
4. Copies of Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) or Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC) of the
establishment using the generator.
5. Emission Test from DENR Accredited Stack Testing Firms (Note: Brand new generators 300 kW and
below are exempted from emission test as per DENR-EMB Memorandum Circular No. 2007-003).
6. Copy of SEC and DTI Registration of the establishment using the generator.

For ICE PTO:
1. Application Form from the Bureau of Working Conditions (www.bwc.dole.gov.ph) or LGU.
2. Mechanical Plans signed and sealed by Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME).
3. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) of the establishment using the generator.
