According to an International Labor Organization (ILO) survey in 2008, 9 out of 10 people living with HIV are working and the workplace is an ideal venue for communicating correct and updated information on HIV and AIDS. December 1 is World AIDS Day and Powercity Corporation commemorates this day by holding an HIV / AIDS Prevention and Control In The Workplace Seminar. On December 12, 2023, employees of Powercity attended this seminar conducted at its head office in Muntinlupa City. The topic was discussed by resource speaker Dr. Gerard Danielle K. Sio, a medical doctor and an accredited DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) consultant. The seminar was organized in partnership with the company’s HMO provider EastWest Healthcare according to the DOLE Department Order No. 102-10 and R.A. 8504 or the Philippine AIDS Prevention and Control Act of 1998.
